The Peacock Brothers have announced that they will be presenting their First UK Full Cable Pro-Am Competition Tour this year. After a successful single event in 2023, Ryan and Liam are extending the Rookie Rumble event into a three stop series.
Stop 1 will be held at the Berkshire based legendary Liquid Leisure Wake Park on Saturday 20th July, before the tour heads north to Box End Park in Bedfordshire on Saturday 17th August. The final stop will be held in Kent at Whitemills Wake & Aqua Park on Saturday 24th August, when the winners of the Elite categories will receive their split of the £6,000 prize pot.
Having conquered global events including World Championships, The Peacock Brothers have committed to growing the UK cable wakeboarding community with these Grassroots to Pro events that have a place for everyone.
Alongside the competition series, The Peacock Brothers will be running 2 day progression camps prior to each event to help riders get some new tricks just in time for the competitions! These are open for anybody to join.
Ryan Peacock said, “The Rookie Rumble Pro-Am UK Tour is more than just a competition and an opportunity for unsponsored riders to gain support, this is a great way to meet riders from around the UK and maybe further afield. Building a strong UK Cable Wakeboarding community is a core goal of ours”.
This year’s ability based categories means that whether it’s a rider’s first season wakeboarding or a rider with years of experience, they will be riding amongst others of a similar level. The three stop tour series, we will be bringing riders of all ages and abilities together to get out on the water push themselves in low pressure, jam style competitions.
For those in the Elite categories, they have the opportunity to compete for a share of the £6,000 prize pot, with £1,000 prizes for both the Men’s and Women’s categories. Not only is there a cash prize pot, each event will also have a two day wake camp in the week before the event, which is suitable for all levels of riders who can navigate a full cable successfully.
Liam Peacock, who is taking up the position of Competition Director said, “competitions have played a significant role in the development of our careers as a Pro Wakeboarders and Content Creators, so we wanted to create a series of events that support the development of future athletes”.
Although being held in the UK, the Rookie Rumble Pro-Am UK Tour is open to anyone who will be spending the summer in UK. Entries are open now, with more information available on The Peacock Brothers’ website: https://www.thepeacockbrothers.co.uk/rookie-rumble
